Going fishing has been a family tradition for many years. My son has loved going out on the fishing boat with his dad since he was a toddler. He still gets just as excited when he catches a fish as he did his first time. They love this father-son time together which is why I knew the FoodSaver® GameSaver® would be the perfect Father’s Day gift.
The GameSaver® Big GameTM Vacuum Sealing System allows us to preserve their moments by keeping their fish fresh five times longer (compared to ordinary storage methods) and prevents freezer burn.
We take quick family trips to the local fishing pond or lake and plan weekend camping trips where we always pack the fishing poles. There are times we spend hours and never catch a fish worth keeping and other times we come home with enough fish to cook dinner multiple times.
I love watching my husband bond with our boys over fishing. Sometimes I join the fun and other times I let them do their thing while I relax by the water.
After all the bonding over fishing, the best part comes. Getting the satisfaction of preparing dinner with the fish they caught.
Although we have a large family, with a catch this large we have to freeze some of it for another time. That is where the GameSaver® Big GameTM Vacuum Sealing System comes in handy. I am so thankful for this new kitchen device.

Big GameTM is made for on-the-go use with a rugged carry handle and 12 volt DC adaptor that makes it perfect to use when camping or boating. You can plug-in to power from your vehicle, RV or boat.
The built-in storage compartment holds your GameSaver® Heat-Seal Bags and Rolls for easy transport or for storing.
The Big GameTM is so easy to use. It’s fast too! You add your meat to a bag, place the open end on the vacuum sealer and turn it on. Within seconds it seals it to perfection with no excess air.
Now you can label your bag with the contents inside and place a date on it before putting in the freezer. You can even add seasonings to your meat before sealing.
I plan to use some of the bags to hold my smoothie ingredients to keep my fruit and spinach leaves fresh so it’s ready to toss in the blender each morning. This way it’ll save time by prepping for the week ahead on the weekend. I know this is a Father’s Day present for my husband but I’m secretly excited to own it myself.
The Big GameTM kept our fish fresh and dinner was amazing.
We fried fish and shrimp to serve alongside coleslaw.
