No matter how big my children get I love keeping the tradition of photos with Santa. With T being gone with the military this year it feels a little odd keeping our traditions. Gabby and Noah were excited to visit Santa and, thankfully, we can send T a photo for her to see. This week we took our photos with Santa at Bass Pro Shops in Grapevine, Texas.
Bass Pro Shops’ Santa’s Wonderland
The big guy is coming to your local Bass Pro Shops! Santa arrives at Bass Pro Shops Santa’s Wonderland at 79 locations nationwide on Saturday, November 12. Families are invited to create lasting memories at Bass Pro Shops through December 24 with free photos with Santa, crafts for kids, plus games and activities to celebrate the season. Customers can also help Bass Pro Shops write a quarter-million holiday cards through AMVETS for military-personal overseas working through the holiday season. Join us to enjoy the tradition of a classic Christmas!
The entire Santa’s Wonderland experience was fun for the kids. Instead of waiting in long lines, you can pick up a Bass Pass immediately upon entering Bass Pro Shops. They will give you a time to come back and see Santa to avoid the crowd. Usually within 30 minutes of getting your free ticket. However, you can also stop by Bass Pro Shops and reserve a time slot for a later date if you wish.
While waiting for your time to be called for Santa, you can do some shopping in the store or explore the Wonderland. There are plenty of activities for the kids to stay busy for hours if you need to shop.
Kids of all ages will enjoy the carnival style games. After shooting Nerf darts into ducks and driving remote control trucks, the kids can head over to craft. This week the kids got to decorate their own clay Christmas ornament to take home… for free! Each week they change out the craft to keep it fresh.
The entire store was decorated beautifully for Christmas. There were places for photo-ops around every corner.
There was even a talking reindeer! It was so cute, it told the kids how much he enjoys reading Christmas letters and to remember to also write him, not just Santa.

Not only are all the activities free, so is the photo with Santa.
The free photo with Santa comes with a decorative wooden frame. I just love it. We came straight home and set it up next to the tree. I can’t believe how much the kids have grown in the last year.
Do you take the kids for photos with Santa each year?
