I recently shared about the importance of pet dietary health and how we were taking the first step in a detox for our Boxer, Nicki. We have successfully completed the ten-day cleanse with Supreme Source® and are still going.
Over the past few years, Nicki has not been eating as much of her food as she used to, yet she has been gaining weight. Her veterinarian was not too concerned since she was not actually overweight and assumed it was due to her aging. Since switching her food she is eating more and enjoying it. The size of the Supreme Source Grain Free Lamb Meal & Potato Dry Dog Food is much smaller than her previous food and easier for her to eat.
Since Nicki was on the same food for almost nine years, I went a little slower to complete the full food switch than ten days. I followed the free guide provided by Supreme Source Pet Food on the correct ratios to mix the old food with the new and improved. By day seven it was scheduled to add 3/4 the new food to her bowl with only 1/4 being the old. According to the detox, by day ten you can remove the old food completely. We stayed with the 3/4 ratio for more than three days. I wanted to be 100% sure Nicki would transition without issues since she had been on the same food for so long.
We already notice a big difference. The amount of gas she was passing has decreased and her activity level has increased. She seems to really love the Supreme Source Grain Free Lamb Meal & Potato Dry Dog Food much better.
I love that we can find Supreme Source Pet Food while shopping at Albertsons for groceries.
When making the decision to switch your dog’s food, I recommend comparing the ingredient list on the bag of their current food with the new. See which unnecessary ingredients are in their current food. I was surprised by this because we were buying one of the higher end food brands that was not cheap. I am very satisfied with our decision to go grain free. I credit her increased energy to the healthy blend of fruits and veggies, which are natural sources of potassium, fiber, vitamins, and minerals, that can be found in Supreme Source Pet Food.
